API Data Feeds

At Petro-Logistics, accurate data is the bedrock of our business and delivering that data efficiently is why we developed our API Data Feed. The API streamlines the delivery of the underlying data directly into your spreadsheet or centralised database to power analytical models. The API reduces the time spent acquiring & manipulating data and enables you to analyse our data within your chosen interface in combination with other relevant information. Daily updates are available, ensuring that you always have the most current information at hand.

What is an API?

An Application Programming Interface (API) is a set of routines, protocols and tools for integrating data into software applications.

It means simply that the end user’s platform of choice, be it Excel, a local database, a data aggregation platform or analytical front end such as Tableau or Power BI, can connect seamlessly with our client database, automating the process of data collection.

What Technology Powers our API?

We use REST (Representational State Transfer) which is a stateless architecture that generally runs over HTTP. REST has become the standard across Web and technology companies. The simplicity of the REST protocol allows easy integration while maintaining strong security. API Data can be retrieved in JSON, XML or CSV format.
